Nektar

With the albums Magnolia and Om du behöver mig, Nektar have quickly established themselves as one of Sweden’s most talked-about new indie rock bands.

Since forming in early 2024, the Gothenburg band have built a devoted following, sold out gigs across the country, won several awards and received widespread acclaim in the Swedish music press.

In 2025, the band took further strides.

After closing Stay Out West with a headline show at Pustervik, they followed up with a sold-out autumn tour for the album Om du behöver mig. At Grammis 2026, Nektar and the album received nominations in three categories – Rock of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Music Video of the Year – and took home the award for Music Video of the Year.

Over the summer, Nektar have been on an extensive festival tour, with notable performances at Skeppsbron during Stockholms Kulturfestival and on Linnéscenen at Way Out West. This autumn marks the next step as the band embark on their first tour of the Nordic countries.
