Tomas Andersson Wij continues performing in churches in 2026 Throughout 2025, Tomas Andersson Wij has performed exclusively in churches.

There has been strong interest in experiencing his music in a church setting, with many sold-out concerts, and by the end of the year he will have given 50 concerts around the country. It is now confirmed that he will continue performing in churches in 2026.

On 3 October, Tomas Andersson Wij will perform at Filadelfia Conventioncenter.

– This tour is a kind of coming full circle for me. I started singing in my parents’ Baptist church as soon as I had written my first songs. I’ve been trying to get my booking agencies to book a church tour for 25 years, but it’s been easier said than done, says Tomas Andersson Wij, adding:

– In the music industry, people always talk about “the next step”, and by that they always mean booking bigger venues. This time, I wanted to book more venues instead, and in that way reach beyond the cities and towns where I always play. Being able to give a concert in Oviken on a Sunday and in Tranås on a Monday is something new and significant for me.

In March, Archbishop Martin Modéus launched the year-long tour “Kyrkorna 2025” by welcoming Tomas Andersson Wij to take his place by the chancel in Helga Trefaldighets kyrka in Uppsala. Now, 50 concerts later, it is clear that the tour has been a great success. And that there are many more churches to visit. The tour is therefore being extended into 2026 – with a new album and a final concert on 3 October at Filadelfiakyrkan as its destination

The tour “Kyrkorna 2025” has a companion project: Andersson Wij’s debut book “Gud är inte plåstret”, the Lent book for 2025, which he wrote on behalf of the Archbishop and the Church of Sweden. It too has been a success with the public and has already gone through several print runs. Alongside the tour and book, Tomas Andersson Wij also has a new season of the podcast Hundåren, in which he has so far this year interviewed fellow artists such as Oskar Linnros, Amanda Jenssen and Gustaf Norén.
