In November 2025, dark wave duo White Birches returned with their long-awaited third album: A New Reign. On the new album, the duo continue to push the boundaries of the genre, with clamouring guitars and dissonant synths meeting captivating melodies.

A New Reign was acclaimed both internationally and in Sweden. Among other accolades, Hymn ranked it fourth among the best Swedish albums of 2025, and the record was also nominated for the Gaffa Awards in the electronic category. The duo have previously been compared to the likes of Portishead, Chelsea Wolfe and Sisters of Mercy. Live, they promise heavy bass, dark beats and a soundscape that dares to be both fragile and furious. White Birches consists of Jenny Gabrielsson Mare on vocals, guitar and piano, and Fredrik Jonasson on synths, drum machines and keyboards.

LIKK (Malmö)

Electroclash royalty meets dark wave EBM: fronted by Toril Lindqvist (ALICE IN VIDEOLAND) and Rickard Rosendahl (KUNT). With their heavy basslines, Likk hit hard and leave a mark. It’s about being authentic, raw and in your face.

When these two songwriters joined forces, it was as if all the pieces suddenly fell into place. Within two weeks, the new sound was born. This is cyberpunk, electro, EBM, but rawer, more insistent and entirely its own. A fresh fusion where punk rage meets electronic darkness. Get ready to be Likk-ed!

Punk with a blend of rock and roll and hardcore from Stockholm

What do you get when you cross two Gibson SG witches with an indie heart and raucous screamo on a bed of punk? Something pretty wild! In MINIMUM RAGE, five musicians with very different musical backgrounds have come together to create a unique sound, touching on everything from the end of the world to the most refreshing alcoholic drink you can find in Madrid. Here’s a band whose shirts are always unbuttoned, with as much singing and dancing on the floor as on stage, and an atmosphere guaranteed to hit you like a punch in the face – in the best possible sense.
