Club King Kong rises again and invites you to a party with no fewer than three exciting live acts!

Surely everyone knows Club King Kong!? Since its launch in 2005, it has been one of the city's most promising pop clubs and, by common consent, the most dangerous (in Hornstull, 2005–2010). Hundreds of bands have graced its stages, and now residents Skägget, Smygarn and Varg-Anders have entered their twenty-first year of true indie and cheerful antics.

As well as the lively live acts, ckk will offer a DJ set featuring everything from twee to calypso, from guilty electro pleasures to the soundtrack to Mannen som slutade röka. The best mix of old and new pop and rock songs. The event is organised in collaboration with ABF Stockholm – Without popular education, Sweden falls silent!!!

Dorotea

Dorotea were standard-bearers for Gothenburg's vibrant indie scene in the early 2000s. Their musical recipe consisted of equal parts pop, punk, drum machine, one-minute songs and placard politics.

After a few intense years, Dorotea called it a day, but now the corpse lives! In spring 2026, the compilation album “Abolish it! 2002-2005” was released on the Appetite label. To celebrate, the band are playing a handful of gigs. Catch them before they die of old age. Buffalo Buffalo, Västerbotten's very own Rick Springfield, has gone from wallflower to a regular act on Umeå's punk and pop scenes in just two years. Backed by the ORD label, Buffalo released the debut album Du store earlier this year, much to fans' delight. The latest release is the single Gamla stjärna from this summer. Buffalo delivers clear, anthemic choruses paired with English-inspired hard rock riffs.

Bleak Streak

Bleak Streak is unpretentious, catchy, self-loathing pop with a punk streak.

“A very impressive collection of little details that wind up making power pop songs with a punkish edge that ebbs and flows depending on the feel of the song”, MaximumRocknRoll magazine reportedly wrote about the first album.
