Dödsdansen

D Ö D S D A N S E N Based on August Strindberg’s play, adapted and directed by Matthew Short. Alex and Edgar’s marriage is coming apart at the seams as they approach their silver wedding anniversary on a Scottish island in the North Sea.

A visit from climate scientist Kirsty raises tensions in their relationship.

The islanders can be heard preparing for their traditional cèilidh dance in the village, while secrets and resentments come to light at home.

Dödsdansen’s black humour takes on an extra dimension against a backdrop of global catastrophe in this reinterpretation of Strindberg’s play by British dramaturg and director Matthew Short.
