Mia, myself and I – Sista måltiden
In November 2018, Mia Skäringer’s Avig Maria - No More Fucks To Give opened its tour. A groundbreaking show that was loved by audiences, acclaimed in the media and broke attendance records with over 300,000 visitors.
Now she is finally back with a follow-up, the new stage show Mia, myself and I – Sista måltiden, which premieres on 17 September at China Teatern.
We get to join Mia and the chaos that runs through her brain 24/7 as she prepares to throw a 50th birthday party despite her social anxiety.
Naturally, her alter egos Tabita and Ann-Marie are there to help organise the party – they do live in her head, after all.
Tabita thinks it is time for some soul-searching, while Ann-Marie wants to keep choosing joy. “Of all the alter egos living in my head, Mia Skäringer has always been the hardest role to play,” says Mia. “It’s not the ADHD itself that burns me out, it’s the constant struggle to fit in, keep up and ‘act normal’.
Whatever the word normal even means any more?” Like the hit show No More Fucks To Give, Mia, myself and I – Sista måltiden is directed by Helena Bergström, and as always with Mia, it will be intimate, sharp, self-critical, anxiety-ridden and very funny.
With humour, an ability to laugh at herself and total honesty, she digs straight into what hurts and turns it into entertainment that both hits home and liberates.
It is about a woman’s ADHD and the eternal struggle between the person you present to the world and the one you wrestle with inside.
And Mia Skäringer’s own double standards... and self-pity, adds Tabita.
This is one party you don’t want to miss!
