Return to Nuke 'Em High - gästas av Lloyd Kaufman
LLOYD KAUFMAN visiting in person. Q&A after the film
LESBIAN BLOGGERS SAVE THE WORLD IN A RADIOACTIVE SCHOOL COMEDY
Welcome back to Tromaville High. The glee club has mutated into the violent gang The Cretins. Chrissy and Lauren, two teenage bloggers in love, must fight mutants, bullies and the evil company Tromorganic Foodstuffs. Can they – and Kevin the duck – save the school and the world?
In 2013, Lloyd Kaufman returned to the radioactive school from Class of Nuke ’Em High (1986) and made a two-part “event film” at Quentin Tarantino’s suggestion. Volume 1 is a gleefully messy, politically incorrect and surprisingly heartfelt horror comedy about the food industry, bullying and queer love.
Catherine Corcoran (later in Terrifier) and Asta Paredes carry the film. Lemmy Kilmister appears as the US president. Just as Troma should be: bodily fluids, social satire and a duck.
