Fackboksfestivalen Minerva 2027
When facts become a celebration The festival for anyone who wants to understand more.
The world is complicated. Luckily, there are books. Some you finish and put back on the shelf. Others stay with you long after the last page. They raise questions, start conversations and make us see the world in new ways.
That is where Fackboksfestivalen Minerva begins.
For the third year running, authors, readers, publishers, researchers, journalists and other curious people gather at ABF-huset for a day filled with conversations, ideas and fresh perspectives. Here you can meet the people behind some of the year's most talked-about non-fiction books and have the chance to listen, ask questions, discuss and discover your next read. The festival aims to make non-fiction accessible to more people and inspire more people to read more non-fiction.
Throughout the day, talks and seminars explore the big and small questions of our time. History and science. Politics and culture. People and societies. What is happening in the world and what is happening within us. There is room here for both the topical and the timeless, for deeper exploration and curiosity.
Minerva is not an industry festival. It is for the reader. For anyone who loves learning new things. For anyone who wants to understand the context rather than just the headlines. For anyone who happens to walk past a book stall and suddenly discovers a subject they never knew interested them.
Between sessions, you can browse the book stalls, meet authors, have books signed and carry on conversations in the foyer, over a cup of coffee or with someone you have just met. Because sometimes the best conversations begin with a book.
Welcome to Fackboksfestivalen Minerva. A day for curious readers, unexpected discoveries and conversations that continue long after the festival has ended.
