Colin Edwin & John Wesley’s VOYAGE 35

Progressive Circus, Chez nous prod and KPM Concerts proudly present three Swedish concerts with Colin Edwin & John Wesley’s VOYAGE 35!

After an acclaimed concert with Porcupine Tree at Royal Albert Hall in London in 2010, PT co-founder and bassist Colin Edwin and guitarist John Wesley went their separate ways. But a decade and a half later, the pull of the old material proved too strong, and they formed VOYAGE 35 to tour once again with their favourite songs from Porcupine Tree’s early career (1992-2000).

The two-hour concert features Porcupine Tree’s original light show by Fruit Salad Lights and songs largely unheard live since the live album Coma Divine (1997), including many fan favourites such as Radioactive toy, Up the downstair, Signify and Moonloop. The band promises to take audiences on the same psychedelic/progressive space rock adventure as Porcupine Tree did back then, while also promising that this is more than just a nostalgia show. The members of Voyage 35 also bring their own creative musical identity to the material.

Joining them on stage are Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (also in Colin’s O.R.k) on keyboards and drummer Alessandro Vagnoni, who is described as the link between PT drummers Chris Maitland and Gavin Harrison.

Colin Edwin: “I know there is a lot of love out there for the early Porcupine Tree material, and many people have expressed a desire to hear it again. Most of this music kind of fell by the wayside as the band moved on, and it feels right to revisit things again with a fresh approach and new musical talent”

John Wesley: “I realized deep inside that I really missed playing that music so an opportunity to go out with Colin and an amazing set of musicians to perform music I deeply cared about was not something I was going to miss. Bringing that music to fans that care about it as I do will be a mutual pleasure”
