The Rolling Thunder Band

THE ROLLING THUNDER BAND - An evening with the music from Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue “I don´t remember a thing about Rolling Thunder, it happened so long ago I wasn´t even born.” - Bob Dylan

Everyone who loves Bob Dylan knows that 1975 was an incredibly strong year. Dylan was in top form, his voice was at its best, the future classic Blood On The Tracks was released, the album Desire was just around the corner, and the joy of playing was greater than ever.

On 13 February, we bring that very feeling to life at Södra Teatern. A tribute concert by Dylan fans – for Dylan fans, and above all, fans of the Rolling Thunder Revue tour!

The Rolling Thunder Revue was the tour Bob Dylan undertook in the USA with a large and eclectic entourage of artists in two legs during 1975–1976. The many participants included Joan Baez (vocals), Ramblin' Jack Elliot (guitar and vocals), Roger McGuinn (guitar and vocals), Bob Neuwirth (guitar and vocals), Mick Ronson (guitar), Scarlet Rivera (violin), Rob Stoner (bass) and Howie Wyeth (drums).

The tour was not a financial success, but it left an indelible mark on both film and record through The Bootlegs Series vol. 5 and the documentary “Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story” by Martin Scorsese.

The tour captures some timeless versions of Bob's greatest songs, which the evening's band has the great honour of performing live for the Stockholm audience at the historic Södra Teatern.

The evening is an absolute must for fans of Bob Dylan. The premiere at Musikens Hus in Gothenburg sold out and was acclaimed by audiences and critics, so take the opportunity to buy your ticket today!
