Newkid – Akust-ish

Newkid takes “Akust-ish” on tour this spring After years on big stages, with pyrotechnics and productions designed to feel larger than life, Newkid is now doing something new: getting closer.

On 25–26 September, he performs two sold-out "Akust-ish" concerts at Södra Teatern – two evenings where the songs, stories and emotions took centre stage. Now he is taking the concept further, heading out on tour across the country this spring.

– "The set-up isn't entirely acoustic, but ish," says Newkid himself about the format.

And perhaps that is precisely the essence of it. A stripped-back stage presentation without losing the energy or grandeur of the music – a space where the songs can breathe in a new way, and where the audience gets closer to both the music and the person behind it.

With over 15 years of music behind him, Newkid now invites audiences to a more personal encounter. From early hip-hop and R&B influences to the big pop songs that have been streamed over half a billion times – the music takes on a new form: intimate, vulnerable and honest.

He is also currently promoting his EP Powerballader, released earlier this spring, on which he continues to explore big emotions, strong melodies and stories about love, doubt and finding your way home.

Tickets for the "Akust-ish" tour go on sale on 25 September at 11.00 via allthingslive.se.
