Visor i vintertid

An atmospheric Christmas concert rooted in folk music Over the years, the musicians and singers in the folk group Gyttring have given many much-loved Christmas concerts. This year, joined by the vocal trio Dundrâ, there will be even more emphasis on harmony singing!

The harmonies are complemented by a broader palette of voices, along with Erika Persson’s accordion and the fiddle of riksspelman Elin Jonsson. The concert invites you to welcome Christmas with this distinctive folk music experience!

Gyttring explores folk music from Scandinavia, Ireland and America. The combination of vocals, flute, harmonium and plucked string instruments creates an exciting musical foundation that appeals to newcomers and dedicated listeners alike.

Together, folk singers Erika, Elin and Erika form the a cappella vocal trio Dundrâ. Their repertoire ranges from love ballads and traditional herding calls to chorales and other traditional material. The arrangements alternate between close three-part harmonies and solo passages, giving each singer’s individual tradition room to shine!

“Visor i Vintertid” is a Christmas concert filled to the brim with folk Christmas music from Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, England and America. You will hear traditional Christmas tunes mixed with new classics, and hopefully go home humming an old Christmas favourite or two that you have newly discovered.
