Wasa Express, Bill Öhrström/Ola Insulander & Stämning

Cult band Wasa Express takes over punk’s No. 1 home venue On 13 November, Studiefrämjandet, in collaboration with Nya Rågsveds Folkets Hus, invites you to a concert at Oasen - Nya Rågsveds Folkets Hus featuring none other than Wasa Express.

Joining them are the duo Bill Öhrström/Ola Insulander and the young band Stämning.

For the modest price of 150,00 SEK, you have the chance to enjoy a whole evening of live music performed by legends and, who knows, perhaps future legends in the shape of the young band Stämning.

Wasa Express

This year marks the 50th anniversary of this cult band, formed in 1976. Then as now, their leading figure and “the man in the back”, Åke Eriksson, is on drums.

After a few intense years in the 70s, the band released 4 records. Following various breaks, they have regularly re-emerged in different line-ups, but their playfulness and heavy groove have always been present in the music.

Bill Öhrström & Ola Insulander

Swedish blues icon Bill Öhrström, together with Ola Insulander from BOM, delivers blues with intensity and feeling.

Bill’s contribution to Swedish musical life can hardly be overstated and stretches all the way back to the 60s, when he ran Klubb Filips, where Jimi Hendrix was among the performers.

Ola Insulander is a respected and much sought-after guitarist whose projects include the trio “BOM”.

Stämning

A young band with 6 members who, having been school friends, formed the band to continue their musical journey. Influenced by the past 50 years of pop, jazz and more, they perform both covers and original material with a personal touch.
