La Liga Habanera

La Liga Habanera was formed in Havana, Cuba and is now based in Sweden.

Since the beginning, the band has brought its modern, soulful take on Cuban timba (inspired by Buena Vista Social Club, Los Van Van, Beny Moré, Havana de Primera and Earth Wind & Fire) to audiences across Sweden and Europe.

The Cuban singers deliver a powerful, tightly blended vocal sound, adorned with expressive lead vocals and driven by the rhythm section’s infectious Afro-Cuban pulse. The horn section is the definition of tight, while the pianist and bassist churn out montunos that set the dance floor alight! In 2024, La liga Habanera released their second album and have since released several singles, including Baila Conmigo and Hoy Se Bebe! The band is known for its energetic, dance-friendly live performances and has played at venues and festivals across Sweden and Europe. Now it’s finally time for you to see them here at K2!
