Blir du ledsen om jag dör?

An unexpected friendship that changes everything. Nic works as a youth worker in Malmö and has devoted his life to helping young people escape violence and crime. But with every death notice he receives, his doubts grow: Is it really possible to save anyone?

Everything changes when he meets Elijah, a promising basketball talent. After growing up amid unrest and living day to day with life and death at stake, Nic’s spark is reignited. To reach Elijah, Nic is forced to push boundaries – both in his work and within himself. A decision that will change both their lives for ever.

Blir du ledsen om jag dör? is director Rojda Sekersöz’s new film, awarded a Guldbagge for its powerful storytelling. The film is based on Nicolas Lunabba’s acclaimed autobiography of the same name – a moving and hopeful story about friendship, courage and daring to believe in change.
