Musikvalvet Baggen, Stockholm
Music for a while
Stately English Baroque, beautiful Swedish romances and lively Spanish folk songs by, among others, De Falla, Purcell and Peterson-Berger.
Musicians Linnéa Gunnarsson and Tobias Backman met at the music college in Örebro. Together they perform romances and art songs as well as folk and folk songs, always with intimacy and sensitivity to tone.
In addition to working as a singing teacher at Nordiska Musikgymnasiet, Linnéa Gunnarsson is active in chamber music and as a soloist. During and after her studies in Örebro, she sang with the Olaus Petri Vocalis choir at several large-scale concerts, including in Switzerland and Germany.
Tobias Backman is a versatile guitarist with many projects on the go. He works as a soloist and in several chamber music settings, and has given many well-received concerts with, among others, duo Nygård/Backman, Duo Vindlav and Bacchus Gitarrkvartett. At the time of writing, he is working on an arrangement of Allan Pettersson’s “Barfotasånger” in a complete and faithful version, with support from Allan Petterssons musikstiftelse.
