Soulful folk-soul artist Cap Carter is now bringing his debut album Streetlights from West Sydney to Stockholm.

Born in Manila and raised in Mt Druitt in West Sydney, Cap Carter is a folk-soul artist whose voice embodies both pain and recovery. Through his raw and honest storytelling, he invites listeners on a journey through life’s darkest corners – and back towards the light.

Having touched hundreds of thousands of followers worldwide, not least through TikTok, Cap Carter is now making his mark with his debut album Streetlights. The album marks a new chapter – a story of healing and hope – and follows the acclaimed EP Notes (2021), written during a period of personal struggle and change.

With Streetlights, Cap symbolically returns “home”, to safety and to himself. “As a child in Mt Druitt, when the streetlights came on, you knew it was time to go home,” he says. “That’s what this record is about – finding your way home again.”

Through his uncompromising honesty, soulful voice and ability to turn pain into music, Cap Carter cements his place as one of the new generation’s most genuine and moving voices in soul and folk.
