Satan Takes A Holiday + The Gristle

Tickets & times

Infectious, straight to the point, hard-hitting, ironic and deadly serious as Satan Takes A Holiday take over Debaser on 19 September – coinciding with the release of their new album COVERING OUR TRACKS!

Satan Takes A Holiday grab you by the scruff of the neck and won’t let go until you’re shaking your backside so hard you spill your beer. With a mix of classic rock’n’roll, ’60s garage, ’70s groove and a healthy dose of pop, Satan Takes A Holiday will get you moving – whether you like it or not.

With around ten singles in rotation on P3, prominent sync placements in major productions such as DC’s Gotham and Lucifer on Netflix, and gigs and tours with Kiss, the Sonics, Juliette Lewis, Backyard Babies and Imperial State Electric, Satan Takes A Holiday have cemented their place as one of Sweden’s best live acts. The tradition of interpreting the songs of contemporary artists or delving into your heroes’ back catalogues goes back a long way in music history, and this was an early influence on Satan Takes A Holiday – with three covers on their debut album in 2009. Since then, only a handful more have been recorded, and the band intend to make up for that in 2026.

COVERING OUR TRACKS, the band’s latest project, will culminate in their seventh album. Ten interpretations of a wide range of songs, produced by long-time creative collaborator Alexander Idfalk, began to be unveiled with the release of the group’s version of You’re the One That I Want – the musical classic from 1978. As surprising and idiosyncratic as ever.
