Mick Harvey & Amanda Acevedo

Rock legend Mick Harvey returns to Debaser this autumn alongside Mexican artist Amanda Acevedo – celebrating the release of their joint album Golden Mirrors.

In addition to music from the new record, they will perform a selection of songs from their duet album Phantasmagoria in Blue (2023), as well as Harvey’s solo album Five Ways to Say Goodbye (2024). Secure your tickets for 29 October!

Mick Harvey is a highly regarded musician, record producer and composer, perhaps best known as a member of The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds, and for his long-standing collaborations with PJ Harvey and Nick Cave. As well as composing music for ten feature films and numerous short films and documentaries, Harvey has released ten solo albums over the past two decades and received several awards within the Australian music industry.

Mexican artist Amanda Acevedo is deeply committed to her ongoing collaboration with Mick Harvey. After studying film in her home city of San Luis Potosí, she teamed up with one of her greatest inspirations to create the thematically rich collection of duets Phantasmagoria in Blue.

The duo’s new album is intended as the first in a series of projects exploring songwriters for whom they both have a particular fondness. In this case, it is Jackson C. Frank – an almost forgotten American folk singer, whose work is interpreted and reinterpreted here by Harvey and Acevedo. They will also be joined by the eminent Georgio Valentino on guitar and Yoyo Röhm on bass and keyboards.

SUPPORT: Moon Mother

The duo Moon Mother, from western Sweden, make music that speaks to your soul, and when they open the door to their mysterious world of shadows and light, you are taken to a place beyond space and time. In winter 2026, they released their second album Meadowlands, which received international attention and praise in underground circles around the world. Some predict that it is only a matter of time before this alternative slowcore phenomenon appears on bigger stages.
