Efterhäng – Trumma loss med Diva Cruz

Children’s concert and rhythm workshop! What does the drum sound like when you feel shy? What does it sound like when you’re angry? And what does it sound like when you’re happy? Drumming can be a powerful way to express emotions.

Using buckets, drumsticks and our bodies as instruments, we explore different emotions through musicality, rhythm and movement. Together, we learn different cumbia rhythms from Colombia. We also rehearse a jungle song that we perform together during the show.

Diva Cruz is one of Sweden’s most prominent percussionists and has played with artists including Robyn, Fever Ray and Tito Puente. She also has a deep-rooted love of the Colombian folk music she grew up with and is passionate about sharing it with children and young people.

Efterhäng is a concert series for children between pick-up time and bedtime. Organised in collaboration with Musikcentrum Öst, with support from the Swedish Arts Council and the City of Stockholm.
