The Courettes

It’s time for a welcome reunion! Our favourite Danish-Brazilian duo The Courettes return to Debaser on 25 September, together with Reverend Beat-Man & Milan Slick.

Over the past few years, The Courettes have established themselves as one of Europe’s best-loved rock’n’roll bands. With an unfailing ear for melody and a unique blend of ’60s girl groups, Wall of Sound, garage punk, surf and fuzz, Flavia and Martin Couri have created a sound that looks to the past while feeling utterly alive in the here and now.

Since we last had the pleasure of welcoming them to Debaser, the duo have continued to conquer stages around the world. Praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Mojo and Classic Rock, sold-out shows in Europe, the USA and Japan, and albums such as Back in Mono and The Soul of The Fabulous Courettes have cemented their status as one of the most talked-about bands on the international rock’n’roll scene.

As many of you already know, The Courettes are something truly special live. With big choruses, swinging rhythms, fuzz-drenched guitars and Flavia Couri’s magnetic stage presence, every show is a reminder of why they have become favourites among rock’n’roll fans around the world.
