Foy Vance – The Wake World Tour

Tickets & times

After decades of writing towards a single goal, Foy Vance suddenly found himself on entirely new ground.

Having completed 2026’s The Wake – the seventh and final instalment in an album cycle he began after his father’s sudden death in 1999 – the Northern Ireland-born singer-songwriter felt compelled to return to a vast archive of material he had written over 27 years but never shared with the world. Revisiting more than a hundred songs he had long held close, Vance explored how the passage of time had changed or deepened their meaning, revealing new truths in their shared exploration of devotion, grief, longing and forgiveness. Produced by Anderson East (Lukas Nelson, The Lone Bellow), his eighth album IF brings together a selection of these reinterpreted songs in an intimate yet sweeping meditation on change and possibility.

Featuring songs co-written with prominent names such as Lori McKenna, Natalie Hemby, Gabe Simon and Ross Copperman, IF marks a bold new chapter in a catalogue that includes landmark albums such as Vance’s 2013 international breakthrough Joy of Nothing (with guest appearances by Bonnie Raitt and Ed Sheeran) and 2016’s The Wild Swan (executive produced by Elton John). The album unfolds in three distinct acts – IF: WE, IF: YOU and IF: I – gradually narrowing its focus from our place in the wider world, through the complexities of love, to the self and its inner workings. The result is a rare dialogue between time and experience: a deeply human portrait of the endless ways love changes us, the lasting marks left by what we endure, and the seemingly small choices that ultimately shape a life.
