Jared James Nichols

Jared James Nichols is the guitarist and songwriter from Wisconsin who has established himself as a prominent name on the American rock scene over the past decade.

From his early years as a young guitar enthusiast to touring the world today, he has clocked up millions of kilometres on the road and collaborated with guitar legends such as Zakk Wylde, Slash and Joe Perry.

Nichols is best known for his roots-based guitar rock, but on his latest album Louder than Fate, released in June 2026, he has shifted towards a more song-driven approach, with more prominent vocals and catchy choruses. Despite this new direction, he is of course not abandoning the big riffs and virtuosic guitar solos that define his sound.

“The really cool thing about this record is that it’s the first time I really took my time as a songwriter, and we didn’t rush any part of the process. We worked with people whose top priority was the song,” says Nichols. “It’s a completely different feeling.”

Don’t miss the chance to experience Jared James Nichols live when he brings his new album to Debaser Nova on 29 September.
