Hoodoo Gurus

Hoodoo Gurus hold a unique place in both Australian and international rock history.

With members from pioneering Australian punk bands of the 1970s, such as The Victims and Fun Things, they quickly made a name for themselves as uncompromising garage rockers whose colourful personality, pop-cultural wit and strong songwriting took them into the charts at home and to the forefront of the international garage rock and power pop scene.

Few other artists have toured so extensively, built such an enduring reputation across generations and kept their music just as relevant. Their sold-out tours have taken them around the world, with particularly strong followings in Brazil, Scandinavia, the UK, France, Spain, the USA, Canada and Australia.

Since forming in 1981, the band have had nine Top 20 albums on the ARIA chart, nine Top 40 singles and a string of multi-platinum albums. They remain a constant presence on the live scene and continue to inspire new generations of artists. In 2021, Hoodoo Gurus celebrated 40 years as a band, and the following year saw the release of their tenth studio album, Chariot of the Gods.

On 30 September, they visit Stockholm, Sweden, for a long-awaited gig at Debaser Strand. Don't miss it!
