Aterciopelados

Aterciopelados stands alongside giants such as Soda Stereo and Café Tacvba as one of the most influential forces in rock en español.

While Soda Stereo helped take the genre global in the 1980s and Café Tacvba drove experimental innovation in later decades, Aterciopelados has forged its own path by blending alternative rock with Colombian and other Latin American soundscapes. They became pioneers of the alterlatino movement and a groundbreaking act in Latin America's modern musical identity, influencing globally successful artists such as Bomba Estéreo, Julieta Venegas and Natalia Lafourcade, among many others.

Their influence is reflected in longstanding international recognition, including several Latin Grammy Awards, multiple Grammy Awards nominations, including a nomination in 2026, and prominent positions in critics' rankings, such as tenth place on Billboard's list of the best Rock en Español bands of all time.

It has now been confirmed that the band will be coming to Sweden for a gig at Debaser Strand on 3 October.
