Fauna

Fauna is the music collective from Gothenburg that made its debut with “Animalisk” and “Cirkel” in 2023, and whose distinctive, propulsive sound has already earned high praise from audiences and critics.

Fauna creates music to lose yourself in: meditative, immersive, organic, psychedelic and danceable all at once.

Since their successful debut, Fauna have kept their sights firmly on the future and performed at a host of festivals across Scandinavia and the rest of Europe, including PLX (SWE), Beat Dage (DK), PHRE (DE), Positive Future (AU), Way Out West (SWE) and Urkult (SWE), to name a few. Along the way, they have shared stages with acts such as Islandman, Föllakzoid, Bab L’Bluz, Fulu Miziki, Waq Waq Kingdom and GOAT.

April saw the arrival of their long-awaited debut album, Taiga Trans. You can hear echoes of Swedish psychedelic bands of the 1960s and 1970s, such as Träd, Gräs & Stenar, in the hypnotic, repetitive grooves of “Bland stenar”. You hear the mind-dissolving oxygen of vintage acid house in tracks such as “Bland träden”. And you hear techno’s out-of-body euphoria in “Du ska få se”.

Fauna are now gearing up for a busy 2026, and on 30 October we have the honour of welcoming them to Debaser Nova. Don’t miss it!
