Benjamin Steer

The concert is organised by FKP Scorpio Benjamin Steer writes songs for a generation trying to reconcile love, self-image and anxiety about the future, while everything is expected to look effortless from the outside.

It is big, emotional and direct – singer-songwriter pop with choruses that want to break out of the confines of headphones and take over a room full of people.

The 23-year-old British-American-Belgian artist began writing music while studying in St Andrews and quickly gained a following online. Today, he has 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a rapidly growing audience who relate to songs about young love, pressure, loneliness and the need to truly mean something to someone.

“Miracle”, “Sinner”, “No One Wants To Die Alone” and the new single “Be My Love” capture both the desperation of romance and the nagging feeling in your twenties that you are never quite enough. After support tours with the likes of Myles Smith, Cameron Whitcomb, Arthur Hill and Kingfishr, Benjamin Steer is heading into his next phase, and this is a chance to see him while everything is still taking shape.
