A year ago, Olga Myko took to the stage at Debaser Alternative with just two released songs under her belt.

A year later, she has amassed over 66 million streams for her acclaimed debut EP WHEN A GIRL CRIES and been nominated for a Grammis in the Alternative Pop of the Year category.

The Swedish-Ukrainian artist and songwriter made her breakthrough with the viral single “use me!!!!!!!”, a raw and deeply personal song that captivated listeners worldwide and gave many their first introduction to her music. Now it is time for the next chapter with the EP How dare you tryna love me?, in which Olga explores the journey from resistance and uncertainty to daring to accept love.

But she is not really a newcomer. Olga Myko has long been a familiar name among music creators around the world. After years of songwriting, studio sessions and collaborations with international artists, she has now stepped into the spotlight herself.

Her music brings together Baroque strings, Slavic fairy tales and modern alternative pop. It is dark, warm, vulnerable and immediate all at once. The music bears traces of her upbringing in a family where classical music was always present, but is filtered through a contemporary pop style that is entirely her own. With electronic production by Sebastian Furrer, Fanny Granström and Duvchi, among others, alongside deeply personal lyrics and an unmistakably individual style, Olga Myko has shown that she is far more than a viral phenomenon.
