Marcus Berggren – Hittar hem

MARCUS BERGGREN - HITTAR HEM

Blink and you might have missed his time away from stand-up, but now the acclaimed and fearless comedian Marcus Berggren is back on the stand-up stage. After a sold-out spring run at Lisebergsteatern in Gothenburg, he is heading out on tour this autumn.

Has the show turned out as you imagined?

– I'm doing my dream show, the one I would have wanted to see myself. It's a wild mix of stand-up, music, poetry, improvisation and audience interaction. But it's only now that I've had the know-how to pull it off. I feel like a karate apprentice who's been up in the mountains training with a grumpy old grandmaster, and has now come down to show off my new tricks, says Marcus.

As Marcus Berggren returns to the stand-up stage with his new show "Marcus Berggren hittar hem", here's what's in store: 75 minutes of cracking comedy delivered at machine-gun pace. A chance to leave your worries in the foyer and step into Marcus's cheerful world of absurd everyday humour. The show is about one simple thing: moving back home. And one difficult thing: finding your way home. And all the comical missteps along the way.

Marcus also brings a guitar, but no inhibitions. Plus a poem about someone called Göran.

Can you keep finding your way home throughout an entire tour?

– Yes, there are so many cities where you can find your way home. The only thing I love more than Gothenburg is leaving it, so I can come home again. This time, heading out feels especially exciting because I feel like Father Christmas bringing the present people didn't know they wanted. I feel like one of those rogues selling a "miracle cure" that actually works, says Marcus.
