Big Fish + Crash Nomada

Crash Nomada's boundary-defying folk punk meets Big Fish's dark and uncompromising alternative rock in a co-headline evening where two of the Swedish alternative scene's most distinctive live bands share the stage.

Crash Nomada have been praised for their unique blend of punk and folk music. With their roots in Sweden and their heart in the wider world, they move seamlessly between genres. After many years of playing in Sweden and Europe, they are one of the more established bands in their genre and have a solid reputation as an explosive live band that gets people dancing. They have been compared to high-energy folk-punk acts such as Gogol Bordello, Levellers and Mano Negra, but they also have a post-punk darkness that brings to mind bands such as Imperiet and New Model Army. Yet it is a darkness filled with hope, warmth, togetherness, catharsis and raw energy. Music that unites and cleanses.

Big fish formed in Uppsala in 1988 and started out as a synth/industrial band, but over time moved towards a more distinctive, dark rock sound with Swedish lyrics. They played numerous live shows during the 1990s, released three albums and contributed some timeless songs to the classic punk compilations "Definitivt 50 spänn" before putting the project on hold in 1996. After 26 years of silence, they returned in 2022 to the delight of their fans with the acclaimed comeback album "Kalla döda drömmar". Last September saw the release of their fifth album, "Fyra liter stoft", which Rockfabriken described as "The most fully realised work Big fish have made. Unique, dreamlike and brutally beautiful". Big fish are known for their energetic live shows and incisive lyrics, and their unpolished style is a genre unto itself, representing a piece of Swedish alternative music history.
