HippHipp Live! 25 years after HippHipp! burst onto Sweden's comedy scene, it has now been confirmed that comedians Anders Jansson and Johan Wester will reunite in 2026 for a major Swedish tour with the newly written comedy show "HippHipp Live!".

For the first time, the two friends are taking their near-cult characters Tiffany Persson, Kajan, Morgan Pålsson and Itzhak on the road. The new comedy show premieres on home turf in Lund on 24 September before touring 14 cities across the country. From 20–31 January 2027, Anders and Johan are coming to Cirkus!

"HippHipp Live!" will feature plenty of familiar faces and moments, but it will certainly not be purely a nostalgia trip. Stand-up-style monologues and improvisation will mix with breathtaking exchanges and direct interaction with the audience – a format in which the characters not only return, but are also put to the test in today's world. What happens when Tiffany, Kajan and Itzhak have to grapple with everything from dating apps and sleep apnoea to grandchildren and fitness trackers?

– It is a special feeling to bring our characters back to life, but this time on stage. We are curious about what has happened to them over the years, and how they relate to the world today. For us, it is both a welcome reunion and a fun experiment. It is familiar and completely new at the same time – and the audience gets to come along for the ride, says Johan Wester.

– Getting to stand on stage with Johan and our characters again feels incredibly exciting – like finding our way back to a creative playground. We know the audience loves the familiarity, but what makes it unique is that we can create something new together every evening – in the moment, right before the audience's eyes, says Anders Jansson.

When the comedy programme "HippHipp!" premiered on SVT in autumn 2001, it marked the beginning of a new era in Swedish comedy. With characters such as the pride of Staffanstorp, Tiffany Persson, fire safety instructor Kaj-Åke Kajan Hansson, musicologist Itzhak Skenström, presenter Mike Higgins and world reporter Morgan Pålsson, Johan and Anders blended sketches with relatable everyday situations, unexpected twists and satire. The series became enormously popular and established the comedians as two of Sweden's funniest.

Despite its great success, HippHipp! has actually never been on a Swedish tour. Next year – 25 years after its breakthrough – it is finally time! Autumn 2026 sees the premiere of "HippHipp Live!", a dazzling show that, for the first time, brings the humour and madness audiences have come to love HippHipp! for to the country's biggest stages.

– It feels as though we are finally going to open a present we gave ourselves 25 years ago. We remember what is inside, but we do not quite know how it will clash with the world we live in now. This is going to be incredibly exciting, not least for us, says Anders.

– For obvious reasons, many people associate HippHipp! with filmed sketches, but what not everyone may know is that Anders and I are actually at our best live. We love being on stage, performing together, creating in the moment and looking after the audience. We are also better together, says Johan.

The show "HippHipp Live!" premieres on 24 September at Sparbanken Skåne Arena Lund before touring 14 cities across the country during autumn 2026 and winter 2027. Tour stops include Norrköping, Stockholm, Varberg and Kalmar.
