Jordan Rakei

Over the past decade, multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Jordan Rakei has built a devoted following around the world with his distinctive sound, bringing together neo-soul, jazz, R&B and modern pop.

He has collaborated with artists such as Loyle Carner, Tom Misch and Bonobo, been nominated for Ivor Novello Awards and given acclaimed live performances at venues and festivals including Glastonbury, as well as two sold-out concerts at Royal Albert Hall.

Now, ten years after his debut with Cloak, the New Zealand-born, UK-based singer-songwriter is entering a new creative chapter with his seventh album, A Safe Place To Be Wild.

Released on 30 October 2026, the album is his most personal and boundary-free to date — created without rules, with a focus on freedom, experimentation and honesty.

A Safe Place To Be Wild took shape following a year as the first artist-in-residence at Abbey Road Studios and in Rakei’s own home studio outside London.

The result is 14 songs spanning funk, electronic music, soul and orchestral arrangements, while exploring themes of fatherhood, love, family and an uncertain world.

Jordan Rakei is known for his warm, dynamic and emotive live performances, with his accomplished musicianship and strong stage presence at their heart.

In spring 2027, he will follow the forthcoming album release with his biggest headline tour to date — sharing the album’s name.

A Safe Place To Be Wild tour begins in Europe, with the opening show at Vasateatern in Stockholm on 27 March.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 24 July at 11.00 via Luger.se.
