Taake + Svartkonst

Taake, with support from Svartkonst, are coming to Kollektivet Livet on 5 February!!! With nearly three decades behind them, Taake are one of Norway’s most respected and distinctive black metal acts.

Since their beginnings in Bergen in 1993, Hoest has been the band’s creative core, consistently developing their sound across eight full-length albums without compromising the genre’s fundamental principles. Taake describe their music as True Norwegian Black Metal, rooted in tradition but with a clear desire to innovate and challenge.

The album trilogy Nattestid, Bjoergvin and Doedskvad established the band’s unique position, while later releases such as Noregs vaapen, Stridens hus and their latest album, Et hav av avstand (2023), have shown a band that continues to deepen and broaden its sound. Live, Taake are uncompromising, intense and completely unfiltered. This force has made them a fixture on stages around the world.

Support comes from Svartkonst, one of Sweden’s leading names on the modern extreme metal scene. With roots in both Swedish death metal and the coldness of black metal, Svartkonst have built a sound that is as brutal as it is carefully crafted. Their debut album Devil’s Blood (2018) made a powerful impact and was followed by Black Waves (2020), which earned international acclaim and a nomination at Manifestgalan. With May the Night Fall, Svartkonst continue to sharpen their sound!

On 5 February, two acts with strong identities and uncompromising visions come together for an evening that puts black metal in its various forms centre stage.
