Jake Bugg

Jake Bugg’s music moves between indie folk, blues rock and Americana, bringing to mind icons such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. His music evokes the past in a modern world.

Bugg made his breakthrough as a teenager after a performance on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonburyfestivalen. Shortly afterwards, he signed with Mercury Records and supported Lana Del Rey, Example and Michael Kiwanuka. In 2012, he released his self-titled debut album, which went straight to number one on the UK Albums Chart and featured acclaimed songs such as Lightning Bolt and Two Fingers. Since then, he has released five more albums – and his seventh, Alamo, will be released on 13 November.

On Alamo, Jake Bugg returns to the country- and Americana-influenced songwriting that characterised his early music, exploring themes of loneliness, relationships, trust and the years that shaped him. The album was created with Grammy-winning songwriters Jimmy Hogarth and Steve McEwan.
