Perhaps in vain, perhaps not. Hannes Aitman is one of those songwriters still searching for something authentic in an age marked by snap decisions, the worship of status and greed.

His artistry extends beyond music, also taking shape in painting and literary works that remain unpublished for now.

His dark, smooth yet sometimes slightly gruff voice and richly resonant melodies have earned him a Grammis nomination, critical acclaim and comparisons with artists such as Neil Young, Ulf Lundell, Bruce Springsteen and even Bob Dylan.

With the album By The Morning, Hannes Aitman and his band The Pink House Union create something immediate and genuinely alive. It is precisely his unwillingness to compromise with commercial pressures and the music industry's rigid ways that has led Aitman to choose his own path. The lyrics move between forgiveness, social criticism and existential questions that touch the very core of human experience in different ways. By The Morning is released on 28 August on his own label, and on 30 January 2027 we are delighted to welcome Hannes Aitman back to Debaser Strand.
