Niklas Strömstedt – Tyck OM mig

TYCK OM MIG – songs, truths and gossip! I’ve always found it both fun and challenging to do something more than just a straightforward concert when I get the chance to perform for an audience.

Over the years, I’ve wrestled with temperamental slide projectors, had heated exchanges with myself in the form of a life-size cardboard cut-out, ridden in a triumphal chariot wearing gladiator armour, and even toured with an actual therapist who gave me therapy on stage between songs.

Published in 2023, the book “OM Niklas Strömstedt” is an autobiographical journey through both my private life and my more public career, and while working on it, the idea emerged of also making it the basis of a stage show.

Which songs made the hairs on my arms stand on end?

What did Evert Taube say when he called?

How do you break out of that paralysing, destructive silence, and when there’s suddenly a turkey hanging under your chin – what the hell do you do then?

And love – can you make sense of it?

That’s where we are when the curtain goes up.

TYCK om mig or Tyck OM mig!

Welcome to more than just a concert!
