Hur ser framtiden för Villa San Michele ut?
Kristina Kappelin has been the successful director of Villa San Michele since 2018. The first nine years have brought many challenges, particularly during the pandemic, but not only then.
In a world where fewer and fewer people read Axel Munthe’s book or even know who he is, new approaches are needed to maintain interest in the villa, which is one of Sweden’s most important and beautiful outposts in the world.
Kristina Kappelin shares her perspective on the challenges awaiting her and the villa as she begins her final three-year term at the turn of the year.
