Petter
Petter sets out on an intimate tour in 2027 with new album “Bar Nîmes” With his forthcoming album Bar Nîmes behind him, Petter hits the road in early 2027.
It will be a close and personal tour, bringing together new material and hand-picked classics from a career spanning almost 30 years. Joining him on stage are musicians Carolina Wallin Pérez (keyboards and vocals) and Helmer Norrby (guitar and vocals).
– With Carolina and Helmer, I feel confident taking on this challenge. We do what we want because we enjoy it, without having to force anything. The music will centre on the new material from Bar Nîmes, but the audience can also expect plenty of old classics. I’m doing this because I’m so incredibly passionate about what I started out doing: music. I perform because I love it, and I’m immensely grateful to everyone who comes along. Without the audience’s involvement, there is no concert – that interaction means everything, says Petter.
Following an intensive year in the studio with producer Elias Kapari, Petter is releasing the eagerly awaited album – a project already introduced through acclaimed singles such as Min tur, Sparat bilder and Alien, his duet with Cherrie. The collaboration has marked a musical transformation, with Petter exploring new forms of vocal expression and entering a new phase in his life and career as an artist.
– It’s rather wonderful to get older, but also wonderful to be able to stay young as you age. Music is still my whole life, he says.
The tour is designed for a seated audience and offers an intimate concert experience. Alongside the new music, the evenings are woven together with monologues and personal reflections from the stage by Petter, who was named Speaker of the Year in 2017.
The tour runs from 22 January to 10 April 2027, visiting venues across the country.
