Saul Williams

Saul Williams comes to Sweden in spring 2027 – taking the stage at Debaser Strand on 22 March! Genre-defying poet, musician, author and actor Saul Williams comes to Debaser on 22 March.

With his new album Leap Life behind him, expect an evening where spoken word, hip-hop, jazz and experimental music meet in Williams’ distinctive musical universe.

For nearly three decades, Saul Williams has been an uncompromising and influential voice at the intersection of music, poetry, literature and film. He made his international breakthrough with the award-winning film SLAM, which helped bring slam poetry to a global audience, and has since performed in over 30 countries and at venues including Sydney Opera House, Lincoln Center and Louvren.

As a musician, Williams has collaborated and toured with artists including Nine Inch Nails, The Roots, Nas, Erykah Badu and Janelle Monáe. His Grammy-nominated collaboration with Carlos Niño in 2025 was followed in 2026 by Leap Life, Williams’ seventh studio album.

On Leap Life, Williams continues to push the boundaries between spoken word, jazz, hip-hop, ambient and West African rhythms. His voice moves between speech, singing, improvisation and chanting – sometimes like an instrument, sometimes like a sermon and sometimes almost like an incantation.

In March, Swedish audiences will have the chance to experience Saul Williams live in Stockholm.
