Romanceforum Stockholm

On 22 May 2027, ABF-huset will be filled with a love of books as Romanceforum Stockholm takes place for the first time.

For one day, readers, authors, publishers and book enthusiasts will come together for conversation, inspiration and a sense of community centred on one of the world's best-loved literary genres.

Romance is read by millions of people worldwide and has a large and loyal readership in Sweden too. Yet the genre has lacked a stage of its own. Sällskapet Romance & Rosé and ABF Stockholm want to change that.

A day for everyone who loves romance

Romanceforum Stockholm is the festival we have been longing for ourselves. A place where readers can meet authors, discover new favourites and share the joy of reading with others who also find a really good love story hard to resist.

The day features four author talks, bringing some of the genre's most exciting voices together on stage. Alongside moderators, they will discuss romance in all its forms, from romantasy and book trends to why love stories continue to fascinate generation after generation.

The day opens with Simona Ahrnstedt, the pioneer who put Swedish romance on the map. Between sessions, there will be plenty of time to buy books, have them signed, enjoy a cup of coffee and talk about your reading experiences with both authors and other visitors. The festival ends with mingling and bubbly.

The festival is Sweden's first dedicated romance festival and is created for everyone who wants to discover, discuss and experience romance with others.
