There have never been more ways to reach an audience than there are today. For a new generation of artists, the way forward no longer has to lead through the offices of major record labels. It might just as easily begin on TikTok, in a merch warehouse or in front of an audience that already knows every lyric. LKN is an excellent example. Elliot Persson from Heby has built his own audience from scratch with a distinctly DIY attitude, yet it is hard to imagine they would not have found him sooner or later. His soulful, playful pop brings together instantly catchy choruses, summery grooves and perceptive lyrics that find poetry in everyday life, exploring love, doubt and life in the here and now. It is music with a distinctive, immediately recognisable voice, and in 2025 his songwriting and production earned him the Rookie Songwriter/Producer prize at the Denniz Pop Awards.

The same year saw the release of his self-produced second album, “JUST NU ÄR ALLTING TILLRÄCKLIGT BRA”, where hip-hop and neo-soul influences met nostalgia, young love and the search for the ability to truly live in the moment. There has been little sign of slowing down in 2026. With singles such as the soulful, funky “Först in, sist ut” and “Ring mig”, LKN has continued to work towards his third album, “Fling”, while his already devoted audience has only grown. Perhaps it is live that the whole LKN project comes into sharpest focus: the DIY energy, the earworm melodies and an audience that turns the songs into euphoric singalongs.
