Primavera
This is the story of the orphanage whose orchestra captivated Europe. In the heart of 18th-century Venice stood a unique orphanage – Ospedale della Pietà. Here, girls were trained to become musical prodigies, whose concerts left Europe's nobility spellbound.
But behind the bars and masks lay a reality where talent and coercion went hand in hand.
Cecilia – a prisoner of her own dream
Among the orphanage's gifted pupils was Cecilia, a 20-year-old violinist with a voice that could silence the room. Yet despite her skill, she was trapped in a system where girls like her were never allowed to show their faces – only their art. Every performance took place behind bars, before an audience that saw her as a mystery rather than a human being.
Vivaldi's arrival – a turning point
Everything changed when Antonio Vivaldi arrived as a teacher. With his revolutionary music and burning ambition, he became both Cecilia's mentor and her gateway to a new world. To her, he became a symbol of freedom. To him, she became the muse who inspired some of the Baroque era's best-loved works.
A story of music, power and longing
Primavera explores the meeting of two people in the shadow of their own limitations:
Cecilia, trapped in a system that both protects and excludes.
Vivaldi, a master seeking recognition through his genius.
What happens when their destinies cross? Can music prove stronger than the walls around them?
