Kollektivet Livet, Stockholm
Martin Rev
Martin Rev is coming to Kollektivet Livet on 29 October!!! One of electronic music’s true pioneers is coming to Kollektivet Livet on 29 October. Martin Rev, best known as one half of the legendary Suicide, is an artist whose influence extends far beyond his own catalogue.
Together with Alan Vega, Rev helped shape one of the most uncompromising and groundbreaking projects in music history. With minimalist synths, pulsing rhythms and raw intensity, Suicide laid the foundations for everything from synthpop and industrial music to techno and experimental electronic music. Their early work from the late 70s has since come to be recognised as genre-defining and continues to inspire generations of artists.
As a solo artist, Martin Rev has continued to explore his musical expression over the decades. His music moves between ambient soundscapes, repetitive structures and explosive, almost violent bursts of sound. But ALWAYS with the same sense of dynamics and uncompromising approach that have made him an icon on the alternative music scene.
On 29 October, we get to experience a living legend up close.
