Ett decennium – 10 år med AORA

AORA Vocal Music presents Ett Decennium – 10 år med AORA

An external guest production at Playhouse Teater

In January 2016, four eager young people met in Uppsala, hoping to make their mark on the vocal music world. 10 years later, AORA has charmed Sweden’s a cappella scene, toured far beyond the country’s borders, won several international awards and moved listeners with heartfelt singing and expressive arrangements.

As AORA celebrates a decade, the audience is invited on an anniversary journey at Playhouse Teater in Stockholm. The concert follows the group from their first tentative rehearsals over coffee on the sofa to powerful performances on major European stages. A journey marked by both highs and lows, the experience of growing up together and, of course, plenty of first-class a cappella.

AORA delves into the archives for old favourites, mixing them with more recent music from the group’s catalogue. Some of the group’s former members also join the concert for magical reunions. It will be an anniversary celebration worthy of the name and the start of a new chapter in AORA’s history!

The concert is organised in collaboration with Sensus studieförbund.
