Pianoafton med Matti Hirvonen & Stina Ekblad

“The millipedes of musical notation are moving” – Pianist Matti Hirvonen and actress Stina Ekblad present a programme that interweaves piano music and poetry. The theme is poems that explore music, and music that has inspired poetry.

In a sensitive interplay, we hear texts by Tranströmer, Diktonius and von Schoultz, as well as readings from Kalevala, alongside piano pieces by Schubert, R. Schumann and Sibelius.

Programme:

Franz Schubert: Selections from Impromptus op. 142 Robert Schumann: Davidsbündlertänze Jean Sibelius: Selections from Impromptus op. 5 and Stycken för Piano op. 76 Poetry by Tranströmer, Diktonius and von Schoultz, as well as readings from Kalevala.
