Bagarmossens Folkets Hus, Bagarmossen
Fortet
Nine-year-old Mille has already been through quite a lot in life and thinks there are more important things to worry about than going to school every day. Instead, since Dad disappeared, Mille has built a fort out of cushions and blankets.
Mille promised him to “hold the fort”, but how do you do that? When we meet Mille, Mum has gone out as usual to buy Mille’s favourite fish fingers, but today she is taking far too long. What if Mum doesn’t come back? What will happen to Mille then, if both Dad and Mum are gone?
In the play FORTET, written and directed by Nadine Holmberg, we follow Mille’s journey through fantasy and truth as they are torn between the safety of the fort and the frightening reality outside. An emotional struggle unfolds, filled with both humour and seriousness, as Mille faces all kinds of challenges, accompanied by live music. When it comes to preparing for disasters, Mille really knows their stuff and shares lessons, dangers and pitfalls in their secret livestreams. But can you really be prepared for everything? The play explores the limits of imagination, survival and what happens when a crisis strikes.
