Slutspelat – Ett komiskt sorgearbete
SLUTSPELAT -- ETT KOMISKT SORGEARBETE Marie Göranzon and Krister Henriksson are two of Sweden’s greatest acting giants and have given us a string of outstanding performances over recent decades, both separately and together.
Audiences have experienced their collaboration several times before, most recently in Dramaten’s "Fröken Julie" in 2023.
In spring 2026, they finally reunited on stage in the brand-new play "Slutspelat -- Ett komiskt sorgearbete", written and directed by Henrik Schyffert.
The production has been welcomed with open arms by audiences and critics alike. "Göranzon and Henriksson are true thoroughbreds" and "funny, outrageous and more than a little cheeky", writes Expressen, while Svenska Dagbladet declares: "Two very different giants electrify the stage." After 36 sold-out performances at Scalateatern in Stockholm, they are now taking the hit production on tour across Sweden!
On 3–5 September, Slutspelat comes to Rival in Stockholm!
Three of Sweden’s most influential cultural figures join forces in the unique theatre project "Slutspelat -- Ett komiskt sorgearbete".
Marie Göranzon and Krister Henriksson are two of the most experienced and oldest voices in Swedish performing arts.
Their roots are planted deep in Dramaten’s auditoriums, but their branches reach into film, television and the hearts of the public.
In "Slutspelat -- Ett komiskt sorgearbete", the two friends meet on stage in a newly written, personal play by Henrik Schyffert about life, theatre and relationships.
With humour and seriousness, the two friends dissect what their lives have actually been like, on and around the stage.
When are you really done performing? -- In this production, we talk about things and events we have never brought up before.
There is something very liberating about that, says Marie Göranzon.
In the production, we join Marie and Krister as they wait in a dressing room to promote the play "Slutspelat" on a television programme with broad popular appeal.
The audience follows their conversation and witnesses the personal encounter between the two actors.
In the dressing room, they are also joined by the young production assistant Rasmus, played by Nonni Ardal, praised for his pitch-perfect stage presence.
The production assistant’s obliviousness to the stature of these two icons sets off a series of misunderstandings and clumsy missteps.
In autumn 2026, Henriksson, Göranzon and Ardal hit the road to bring the hit production "Slutspelat" to audiences in seven new cities, with twelve new performance dates.
Stops include Göteborg, Västerås and Linköping. -- I’m from the countryside.
I think the rest of the country deserves the very best.
It probably doesn’t get any better than this, says Krister Henriksson.
