Petter is heading out on an intimate tour in 2027 with his new album “Bar Nîmes” With his forthcoming album Bar Nîmes behind him, Petter will hit the road in early 2027.

It will be a close and personal tour, where the new material meets hand-picked classics from an almost 30-year career. Joining him on stage will be musicians Carolina Wallin Pérez (keyboards and vocals) and Helmer Norrby (guitar and vocals).

– With Carolina and Helmer, I feel confident taking on this challenge. We do what we want because we enjoy it, without having to force anything. The music will primarily be about the new material from Bar Nîmes, but audiences can also expect plenty of old classics. I’m doing this because I’m so incredibly passionate about what I started out doing: music. I play because I love it, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who comes. Without the audience’s involvement, there’s no concert – that interaction means everything, says Petter.

After an intensive year in the studio with producer Elias Kapari, Petter is releasing the long-awaited album – a project already introduced through acclaimed singles such as Min tur, Sparat bilder and the Cherrie duet Alien. The collaboration has marked a musical transformation, with Petter exploring new vocal expressions and entering a new phase in his life and career as an artist.

– It’s quite lovely to grow older, but it’s also lovely to be young within the older you. Music is still my whole life, he says.

The tour is designed for a seated audience and offers an intimate concert experience. Alongside the new music, the evenings will be woven together with monologues and personal reflections from the stage, delivered by Petter, who was named Speaker of the Year in 2017.

The tour runs from 22 January to 10 April 2027 and visits venues across the country.

About Petter: Petter Alexis Askergren broke through in 1998 with his debut album Mitt sjätte sinne, which paved the way for Swedish hip-hop to reach a broad audience. During his career, he has won four Grammis awards, released a long series of acclaimed albums and established himself as one of the country's most influential artists. In addition to music, Petter is an artist, author, entrepreneur and lecturer. In 2026, he also founded Kul på vägen, a foundation that awards annual scholarships in culture, health and entrepreneurship.
