Learn to use ink and a brush to write flowing characters on beautiful rice paper. Mongolian calligraphy has been practised since the Middle Ages and is an important part of Mongolia’s cultural heritage.
Since 2013, it has also been included on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage.
During the course, you will learn the basics of calligraphy and gain an overview of the historical development of the script.
Welcome to a workshop in Mongolian calligraphy with calligrapher Densmaa Gaarav, who is also chair of the chair of Mongoliska kultur- och fritidsföreningen.
