Filmklubb: The Zone of Interest

In The Zone of Interest, we follow Rudolf Höss, commandant of Auschwitz, and his wife Hedwig, who strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden next to the camp.

Against the backdrop of an apparently ordinary life, the film raises questions about evil, humanity and the ability to turn a blind eye to what is happening right next door.

At this evening’s film club, we’ll discuss the film in the context of its historical setting and cinematic style.

The discussion will be led by Hynek Pallas.
